Planning a Bathroom Remodel?

Is a bathroom remodel in your plans? Don’t jump in with both feet without a plan! Ask yourself these four questions:

1. Do you know what you want your bathroom remodel to look like finished? What style are you going for? Take some time to look around at showrooms, home improvement centers and even that neighbor or friend of yours who has the bathroom you wish you had. Look through magazines, any magazine from Good Housekeeping to Ask This Old House have great pictures of bathrooms. Find what you like, take some pictures and make a list.

2. What is your budget? Is your bathroom remodel going to be a complete redo or just a few carefully selected tasks or pieces?

3. Are you hiring a contractor or are you a do-it-yourselfer? If you’re a DIY'er how much time are you allowing yourself to complete your bathroom remodel? And do you have another bathroom to use in the meantime, what is the alternate bathroom plan?

4. Are you changing the layout of your bathroom? Maybe your existing layout doesn’t seem functional or make the most of your space, decide before you begin if you want to change the layout.

Start with these four questions and your bathroom remodel will be a success you will be proud of!
